Out of Africa

I just discovered this painting that got lost in a stack of paintings for a while, easy to do when you work in a small bedroom studio!

I completed this in September 2018, right after I broke my toe and was imobile for a few weeks. My wonderful husband made sure I had all the painting supplies I needed, I set up on the living room floor and painted to my hearts content. I completed at least 30 paintings in 3 weeks.

“Out of Africa” is a small piece, 9″ x 12″ on a wood panel, done with knife. I think it will look really nice framed!

Art Show Success!

Wow. I’m overwhelmed by the love and support from my friends, family and the awesome art community of North Park and South Park! My debut art show exceeded all of my expectations.

Caffe Calabria in North Park, San Diego, was the perfect host! The venue was exceptional, given it’s still undergoing renovations, they went out of their way to make the show a success! I highly recommend them, not only for their exceptional pizza, full bar, great service, beautiful setting, all around awesome!!

Everyone had a great time, my partner and I both sold some pieces, but more important, we connected with the community, we shared art.

Thank you for supporting the arts and the local art community, your love and acceptance! 🙏❤️

Thick Skinned

“Thick Skinned” is definitely one of my favorite paintings from my Broken Toe series. It was created with spray and acrylic paint, by knife on a 12 x 12 canvas.

The elephant appeared by “happy accident,” as soon as I saw it I was excited, the elephant is clearly one of my spirit animals.

Colorful Clothes Pins

I will paint just about anything. Except natural sticks, I just can’t do it. They are beautiful enough all on their own.

But I do love me some jazzy clothespins, I got hundreds of them, all over the house. Incredibly useful, and now much prettier!

Welcome!

I created this site as a personal journal of sorts, a showcase of my art and my creative journey.

I dabble in many mediums. I sketch and draw, doodle, calligraphy, wood working, photography,  polymer clay, ceramics, mixed media, oil and acrylic painting, and well, everything and anything that can be construed as art!

I hope you enjoy viewing my images, please contact me with any questions, inquiries, praise or feedback!
