When I am not painting in my studio, I’m out enjoying my garden. This year I’m trying several new plants including purple tomatillos, 5 different tomatoes, various herbs, and pole beans!

I’ve got five different kinds, all planted from seeds, the tallest one is now officially taller than me! I’ve got Romano Pole Beans, Orient Wonder Yard Pole Beans, Carminat Purple Beans, Kentucky Pole Beans, and Monte Gusto Yellow Beans.
I should be able to start harvesting in a week or two, with so many varieties I have a feeling I’m going to get my fill of beans, maybe I can try pickling too! 😊
So exciting.

It is Gigi, I literally sit and watch them grow, can’t wait to harvest!☺

I should have mentioned that you were my inspiration to start growing beans! It seems we are on the same track even though you started yours a little before me, we should be sharing recipes soon!😊

It’s a journey, and I’ve learned so much the last few years, there’s always challenges though! 😊

Good luck with your garden. Unfortunately, here in the blazing hot Coachella Valley, I’m unable to grow any fruits or vegetables during summer. I finally pulled out my huge cherry tomato plant – which grew from a seed from last year’s plants – as the 117-degree heat was literally cooking the little remaining tomatoes! At least I managed to get a decent crop from late March-late May.

Oh yeah, it would be a real challenge growing anything out there, maybe indoor?

Aside from a few house plants, I don’t have space or large enough window sills to place any more plants, unfortunately.

You have a lot of varieties there, Tiffany! I hope they’re bountiful!

Thanks Audrey, they seem to be well on their way, I may be complaining about too many beans soon! 😂

Thanks Ka, it’s an amazing process, from the first sight of germination to the climbing vines, and now the pretty flowers, I’m loving it! 😊

Well, we share the love for the plants!! Right now for me it’s all the medical ingesting and prescribing of them because I don’t have the time nor is my land prepped for gardening.
Enjoying vicariously!

They do seem to be healthy, now I hope the critters don’t mess with them!

Yeah, I don’t like that, that’s why I stopped growing vegetables a long time ago because it was too much work to keep them and my dogs away! My dogs used to dig up my carrots and beets.

Oh no! Yes, so much time and work goes into gardening! We’ve lost several tomatoes to something, rats maybe. Makes me miss my cat even more!

I saw this video on Youtube and thought of you. This is how I imagined you do some of your abstract-looking art. https://youtube.com/shorts/X-esxGlcoUA?si=AiRR4nuYWoDg4_m4

Love it! Yes, if you saw my studio you would think that’s exactly what happens! The only difference is I’m not that cute! 😂
