The Matterhorn

This painting was completed almost a year ago but it never found a name it so I never posted it. I’ve been doing some reorganizing, trying to figure out storage for 300+ paintings in my tiny house, and I ran across this one again.

I haven’t been to Disneyland in a million years, but I remember that The Matterhorn was always my favorite attraction at the theme park, and Pirates of the Caribbean, of course!

I think “The Matterhorn” fits this painting quite well. It feels cold, thrilling, dangerous and mystical to me. And if you use your imagination, you can see the infamous Abominable Snowman somewhere in there!

Acrylic on a 9″ x 12″ wood panel. I think I will add this to my Fine Art America site where larger prints would be optimal!

  1. I’d definitely add it to Fine Art America, Tiffany – this has a great feel to it. Icy for sure, lol, but a lot more! Like u said, mystical, dangerous! And yeah, does have that thrill feel! 😊 I saw figures right away in it, and when u mentioned the Abdominal Snowman, thought, yep, that’s it, w/buddies around him! 😊
