Meandering

8/19” Acrylic on canvas

There are many different styles of abstract art! It’s funny to me when people say they can spot my artwork a mile away, I feel like each one is completely unique and drawn from intuition at the moment.

“Meandering” through my artwork over the years, I can see that I have several different abstract styles;

Sometimes it’s full canvas, thick with texture and color.

Sometimes it’s light, soft, whimsical, and airy.

Sometimes it’s structural with defined lines and shapes.

And some of my collages are pretty interesting!

This also seems to be one of my styles, although I’m not sure how to describe it?

All I know is that I love creating them, all of them, and I hope that they inspire you!😊❤

  1. I think your work is beautiful. I enjoy looking at it. I have never created an abstract painting; my mind just doesn’t go in that direction but one of my all-time favorite painters is Miro. You don’t paint ‘like’ Miro but there is something under your work and I guess it’s the same human impulse. It’s great.

    I have an acquaintance here who thinks I should paint abstract paintings because landscapes are “over” (she’s not a friend really) and I should “move on.” I think one wonder of visual art is the eyes/impulse/intuition behind a painting. She looks at my work and sees “just another mountain”. Clueless bitch. 😉 Even the most “realistic” painting of nature is an abstraction .
