This is going to be a tough season for me, I’ve been really depressed lately and I can foresee it getting worse as we go through the holidays. Firsts, memories, triggers, it’s all part of grieving. I have to admit that I haven’t done well at grieving the passing of my mom last December. I tend to shove all my feelings down out of reach until I get triggered. That’s how I’ve survived my whole life. Thank goodness I have my paintings to help express all these feelings.
Sorry, I’m not looking for sympathy; I am far from alone in my grief. I just hope others can find an outlet to deal with their struggles. Even if you don’t paint, maybe you can find comfort in the distraction of some kind of creative activity—cooking, baking, photography, crafts; heck, maybe singing works for you! Just know you are not alone. Be well, my friends, and reach out to your friends and loved ones—just say hi! 👋😊❤
loving the earthy palette
stay strong, dear tiff! 🤗

I know you’re not looking for sympathy, but I am sorry anyway, having had periods like that myself in the past. Hang in.

Tiffany, here is the biggest hug in the world. The beauty of this painting is that little face looking up. So many times — for me — that has been an act of will. ❤️

It makes me sad to hear you’re feeling so depressed and beaten down, Tiffany. Life can be so hard at times, and when the loss of a close relative, friend or even pet is added to the mix, things can seem really bleak. I’m glad you’re able to express some of your pain and anxiety through your art.
