Curious

11/14” Mixed media on paper

I know, it’s different than my usual abstracts. Most of my paintings come together pretty quickly, if I dwell too long they lose the initial intuitive spirit that brought them out in the first place. But, sometimes I like to work on a piece, like this one, for several days, a little at a time in between other works.

Another unusual fact about this piece is that I did it with only ONE brush, a black marker, and a white marker, I usually use a LOT more stuff! Also, I opened up one of my mom’s watercolor pallets and used her colors, she bought the good stuff, what a difference in quality! Don’t ask me what brand it is, unmarked, so I will never know. 😉🖌️🎨

      1. Interesting thought. Some artists don’t like the comparison. Other times they’re thrilled. Case in point an Argentinian artist I’ve bought art from. I told him his work reminded me of Peyné, a french artist he didn’t know. He looked him up.

  1. No, it’s not your usual abstract, it’s super defined in certain areas. Somehow I think, when things are off balance (things going on around me) I paint very similar to what you have in this composition. I really like “Curious” its different, very colorful and has meaning.

      1. Your welcome.

Yeah….a pro could tell you really unique things about yourself.

I took a test for that years ago. It was over a 100 questions before seeing a counselor.

Heavy rain and wind here. Very humid and just uncomfortable to try to sleep.

Have a nice weekend Tiffany. God bless you and your husband! 💕
