I chose the title “Neon” for this painting because, well, I had some fun with neon paint! Remember back in the day when we all had those crazy psychedelic neon posters and black lights? This one won’t glow in the dark, but it will look cool under a black light bulb!
I have to admit that I am late to the John Mayer party. I heard some of his songs back in the day but they never did anything for me. It’s only been in the last few years that I took notice of him when he started playing with Bob Weir and Dead and Company. I saw him play last year in Oregon and I was pretty impressed. So, I have been checking out his older work, and I think this one is pretty cool, enjoy!
Like a neon firework exploding. It’s beautiful.

Beautiful, Tiffany! Esp like the “Tiffany glass”-like look of the bright cluster middle right under the red ray, and same along the longer bottom right corner red then blue rays – very nice! Yeah, isn’t it amazing how we suddenly “pick up” on a musical artist! Love when that happens! 😊

Thank you so much, Adan! I have always loved Tiffany glass, yes, it does resemble it a bit! I am always exploring new artists, but sometimes it’s fun to discover an “old” one too!

I think we all meld any and all influences that appeal to us, mix them into our own creative mix, and go with it! We can’t help but make our own unique representation! I love it! 💗

Thank you, Kirt! I bought a set of neon paints, thought it would be more for crafts, but I keep incorporating them in my paintings and loving the contrast, so much fun to play with!

Mayer is talented, happy you dig. I’ve wanted to like him but there is just something about him I can’t jump on the Mayer Train…LOL peace ✌️

I totally know what you mean, it took me a long time! I think he used to come off as arrogant, but he has humbled a bit, and I appreciate his dedication to learning all the Grateful Dead music!
