Most of my favorite photos from May were taken on the flourishing farm of San Diego Seed Company who graciously gave me a tour earlier this month. It’s been a long time since I’ve been there because of the pandemic, so it was great to see how much the farm has grown! Popular for their certified organic, regionally adapted seeds, the women owned business has grown exponentially over the last year!
I was pleased to visit while a recent crop of flowers were in bloom. I usually visit when it’s full of vegetables, which they had plenty of, I just took a lot of photos of the flowers this visit! They also have over 30 chickens, and 2 farm cats that crave affection when they aren’t hunting down rodents!
It’s hard to believe June is just around the corner, and tomorrow is Memorial Day here in the US. It’s a special day to remember our service men and women who lost their lives fighting for our freedom and democracy, and to honor all those that have and do serve our country. ‘Thank you’ doesn’t seem to say enough.
