Undertows

12″ x 16″ Mixed media on canvas

There’s always something underneath that you can’t see. Sometimes it’s calm, sometimes it’s turbulent. In this case, it’s just some acrylic paint, a little alcohol ink, and ink on canvas, I call it “Undertows”.

It’s been a crazy week for me, all kinds of stuff going on! Additionally, I’m scheduled to get my first Covid vaccine tomorrow, a little nervous, but it must be done!

It’s times like these that I am so grateful to have my artwork as an outlet. When I can get into a painting flow or groove it helps ease my mind and anxiety. I suppose for some people it is reading a good book, or preparing an elaborate meal, something that we enjoy doing to take our minds off our troubles.

I hope you are having a great week, stay creative and healthy my friends! 😊🙏🎨

      1. Good luck! I’ve had both doses now. Both times I had a very, very sore arm, and I did feel a little worn out. With the second one I also had a slight headache, but nothing too bad. I just rested, did some reading, and took it easy.

          1. Great! I’ll be so glad when we put this pandemic behind us. Even though it hasn’t affected too much as far as my routine, it’s still been a source of concern always there in the back of my mind.
