My intention was to do a painting with all the different shades of red acrylic paint in my collection, which was about 10 shades. It was pretty cool looking with just all the reds, but, I couldn’t resist the temptation to add more color. I pressed another wet painting onto the shades of red, adding gold, yellow and blue. I like it, but I wish I had stopped and kept my initial intention. Oh well!
This is actually one of a series, I will be sharing the others soon!

Thanks, Matt! I highly recommend it, so far I have done blue, red, yellow, and green. Each one completely different, it’s been a fun experiment!

The reds have it. This is a really nice painting.

Thanks, Tim! It was really difficult to photograph the texture in the painting, I just can’t capture it all with my old iPhone.

I think the touches of other color work really well, Tiffany! I’ve found. really liked stuff I do in one color really satisfying, and this really comes across in your work too. There must be a magic in this melancholy madness! ❤️

Thank you so much, Adan! I’m really enjoying this practice, painting with one color, it feels a little naughty combining colors that would not normally go together! lol!
