Wild Orchid – And a Milestone!

16″ x 20″ Mixed media on canvas

“Wild Orchid” was a super fun painting to create! Since I finally got a hold of some NEW canvases, I was ready to go with lots of ideas and inspiration! I used a pouring medium, acrylic and tempura paint and alcohol inks, but you probably wouldn’t guess that I used a balloon and an hair pic to get some of the textures! 

I’d also like to mention that I recently hit the milestone of 400 WordPress followers! Thank you, each and every one of you for your “likes”, comments and re-blogs! It makes my heart full to be a part of this supportive community!
