Visions on Vinyl

Acrylic pour on vinyl record

Here is another example of making do with what you have when times are lean. I have no new canvases but there’s always something I can paint on! For you die hard vinyl fiends freaking out right now, NO working albums were damaged for art purposes. I will only paint on previously scratched and broken records!!

I love the way the paint spreads on vinyl, I worried it might get stuck in the grooves and run in circles but it seemed to stay where I put it. I decided to add some Floetrol pouring medium to create a flowy, melty look which I love! 💕 I hope you are staying healthy and creative!

Success! You're on the list.

This reminds me of a poster I once saw (and photographed) in Paris. If you would like to see it, scroll down to the sixth photo (“Poster by Stéphane Constant”) in this post: https://operasandcycling.com/center-for-fashion-and-design-at-les-docks/

When I listened to T Rex on vinyl this morning, it made me feel the way this image does. Well done!
