Faces

“Steamed Punk” 12″ x 12″ Acrylic on paper

It recently occurred to me that many of my paintings morph into faces. I wonder if they are lost souls trying to speak to me, trying to get me to tell their stories. Some are clearer than others, some more abstract, but they all seem to have something to say.

Or, maybe it’s complete coincidence and I am just a bit off my rocker, whatever!  I’ve compiled a gathering of some faces below for your amusement, let me know if you recognize anyone!

“Pink Panther” 12″ x 12″ Mixed media on canvas
“Play For Me” 11″ x 14″ Acrylic on watercolor paper
“Thousand Faces” 16″ x 20″ Acrylic pour on canvas
“Self Portrait” 11″ x 14″ Acrylic on canvas
“Untitled” 11″ x 14″ Watercolor and mixed media on paper
“Profanity” 11″ x 15″ Acrylic & mixed media on paper

Thank you, John! Yes, Thousand Faces was one of my favorites, sold but not forgotten! Wait, do you mean Yes, the band? They had some crazy psychedelic artwork on their covers, so I will take that as a compliment!

Definitely lost souls trying to get through. This post is a bit like a phantasm faceoff. A Thousand Faces is especially haunting and ethereal. I like them all. Untitled makes me think of a pig’s spirit trapped between your cubist and surrealist sensibilities. We know the Pink Panther’s story. Profanity has the essence of the spirit of a pissed Van Gogh. Steamed Punk seems to fit the ghost of a goofy go-go dancer. Play for me a night club singer slipping through dimensions. And your selfie? Your selfie is frolicsome and spirited.

No denying the variety of faces! An amazing assortment really, with distinct personalities, quite an accomplishment considering the steadfastness of style! Mine, I think, beyond landscapes, is florals, and I so much would like to combine them eventually 😊 And I tried to pick a fav among your painted faces, Tiffany, but their individual distinctiveness and power made it too hard to choose! That’s good I think ❤️

Well the first one is obviously Bipolar Sponge Bob. The next is Yogi Bear in his later years. The third is every Kardashian taking a selfie. And correct me if I’m wrong, but the rest are you in various moods after eating Chinese food. I’ll take Abstract Art for $500 Alex, I mean Tiffany…

Profanity, I prefer. Maybe it’s my mood now but it screams, don’t interfere with me. 😊
