I am happy to report my original painting “Fire and Ice” sold at this weekends San Diego Art Institute C-Note Show!
The show was a four day event, Thursday was the artists reception, Friday the auction and main event, and Saturday & Sunday were open to the public. The unique thing about this show is that the buyers literally took the paintings off the wall at the time of sale.

I was at the show on Thursday and got to see all of the art up on the walls, it was invigorating and exciting to be a part of all the hub-bub! My little piece was on the wall with some amazing artists, such an honor!

It was also really cool to meet in person fellow blogger and artist, Tim, of Off Center & Not Even, he came all the way from Albuquerque! Not just for the show, he and his lovely wife were in town for a conference so it was really nice of them to come so we could meet. Tim, why didn’t we take a picture together??!
When I met my family at the show today, my piece was not to be found! I was a little sad that my family missed seeing my art in the show, but I am ecstatic that my piece sold!!!
I am super curious who bought it, that information was not shared with me. I do hope they love it and I would be very happy to help them add more pieces of my abstract and mixed media art work to their collection!
