I really love this painting. It seems a bit impressionistic to me, not my typical style, but something I want to play with again!
Dark places are alluring to me. I also really love Radiohead and their song “There There” and the lyrics are surprisingly appropriate for the mood the painting sets.
I go walking in your landscape
Broken branches
Trip me as I speak
Doesn’t mean it’s there
Just ’cause you feel it
Doesn’t mean it’s there
Singing you to shipwreck
(Don’t reach out, don’t reach out
Don’t reach out, don’t reach out)
Steer away from these rocks
We’d be a walking disaster
(Don’t reach out, don’t reach out
Don’t reach out, don’t reach out)
Doesn’t mean it’s there
(Someone on your shoulder
Someone on your shoulder)
Just ’cause you feel it
Doesn’t mean it’s there
(Someone on your shoulder
Someone on your shoulder)
There there
And lonely, and lonely?
To me, to me?
Waiting to happen
Waiting to happen
