If you were alive in the 80’s maybe you remember the Scottish band Big Country? I was not yet a teen when they made their debut, but they sure did make a major impression on me! They opened the door to “new wave” for me, but I also really liked that they integrated unique instruments into their music, such as the bagpipes. Brilliant.
One of my favorite songs by Big Country was “Fields of Fire” and when searching my brain for a title for this painting, it was obvious to me that this is the appropriate title. A flower that may be in a field, but it also looks like bright fire.
And now, I will have the song stuck in my head for the rest of the day! (not a bad thing)

Like a flower with paths of bees flying around it. Lovely painting. Somehow I missed Big Country. I listened to “Fields of Fire” and a few other songs, but I’m not familiar with them.

Thank you Timothy! I’m surprised, I thought they were more popular in the 80’s, they even had some videos on MTV!
