It’s been brutally hot and humid in San Diego, and it’s going to be the same for the next few weeks. It’s very uncomfortable. We don’t have AC at home, and we can’t open the windows because the cats will shred the screens and escape. I also work in a huge 100+ year old building without AC. Life is just a hot, sticky mess.
Thanks Anthony, yeah, it’s reall the humidity that is so miserable, we just aren’t used to it here!

I’m sorry to hear that you it’s so hot down there for you. Without AC it’s very difficult for sure. Stay cool – both you and your cats! On the plus side, the Farmers Almanac prediction came out yesterday and said that we are expecting to have a wet fall and winter in southern Cal.

I didn’t have ac in one of my flats for a few years and it was hard on me. I will pray for you and the circumstances.
Maybe try to get a window unit for the bedroom?

Oh, we will survive, only a couple more months of misery, I hope. Our heat and humidity usually only lasts a couple months so it’s hard to justify investing in a window unit, but right now it sounds like a great idea!π

That sounds like quite a battle with the heat, and then having to keep the windows shut because of the cats! π Somehow, though, youβve managed to turn all that discomfort into something beautiful. Thereβs a wonderful sense of coolness and quiet in this piece, almost as if the painting itself is offering a little escape from the heat. Beautiful work! ππ»π
