Working at the San Diego Automotive Museum has been influencing my artwork. lately. I’m naturally drawn to the artistic shapes and forms of the cars, and I love to combine them into my abstract art work.
This abstract collage features a lovely 1965 427 AC Cobra created by Carroll Shelby, wouldn’t that be a fun ride?
that would be so fun! to ride in!
. the detroit institute of arts, (not far from where i live), had an amazing installation a few years back, that was all about the art of cars, as we are the ‘motor city.’ it had actual old beautiful mint condition cars with features and designs that were often not as utilitarian as they were arty. they also had the original designs, hand drawn, and showed how they were developed into the final product. in addition, they had a space for children to do their own drawings of a car they had seen there, or could make up their own. it was great, you would have loved this!
Thank you so much, the car is pretty cool on it’s own, but my artwork shines in its presence!😊
