Time Travel

These times are trying. I know I’m not alone in wanting to escape. If you could travel to another time in space, where would you go? I think I would go back to the Obama era, back when I felt proud, safe, and hopeful. The exact opposite, as I feel now.😔

    These times are trying when you are in the thick of it. To me every day has felt like every other day the exception being in Oct during the Gov shutdown which greatly affected my job.

      I feel the pain of his wrath every time I fill up my car, buy groceries, turn on the news, talk to my immigrant friends and family……

    Ditto to the uncertainty and anxiety of each day mounting lately. As for me, I’d love to forge forward to a future worthy of leaving my children and potential grandchildren. I hope for that day.

      He will be dead soon, but so much damage has already been done, I hope there is time and some resources left to repair some of it’s aftermath.

    I remember feeling so proud when marriage equality became real and The White House was lit up in Rainbow Pride colors. I can’t imagine that happening these days, we have moved so far in the wrong direction since then.

    I’m not one to want to go back. I would go forward to a future where they are all–all of them, every enabler too!–in the concentration camps they built for immigrants getting their just rewards and we can breathe freely again. Lock the door and throw away the key. (K)

    I think we’ve come through some relatively stable times ( though not to some) Fascism of the right or left seems to cause so many problems. The concept that government should be for the people’s benefit seems to get turned on its head.

    Hitler made a mess of much of Europe, Pol Pot on the left did the same in Cambodia and SE Asia and Mao, well; his legacy seems to live on under Xi.

    Democracy is a fragile thing.
