Broken Pieces

Mixed media collage

A little of this, a bit of that,

arranged carefully, keep it flat.

Use these broken pieces,

don’t want creases.

Take that scrap and paste it there,

being careful so it doesn’t tear.

Cut that one like it matters,

over here, add some splatters.

This part needs some lines and marks,

maybe add some lights and darks?

There now, I think that’s right,

Balanced and even,

a pleasant sight!

I am not a poet by any means, I know not the rules or things. But here you go, just don’t smirk, my talent is my visual work! 😂

        Finally got around to practicing flowers in acrylics. It went well. I couldn’t paint flowers before but can now, YAY!

        Are you, Tiffany, by chance good at sewing?

        I’m allergic to most waist bands and need to learn before the cold weather comes.

          Yay! It’s fun to learn something new, I’m glad you are pushing yourself and trying new things! I only have basic sewing skills but I do enjoy sewing at times, I would suggest You tube for a learning tutorial. Are you allergic to the elastic? Yikes!

            Yeah the elastic waste bands and the spandex over the last year keep breaking me out in a painful rash around the waste. The dermatologist wasn’t able to figure out what is was that I was allergic to. I’ll post the flower practice when I can. I’ll keep looking on YouTube. Have a nice weekend Tiffany!
