Lots to celebrate today, this is my 700th blog post and it happened to land on my 53rd birthday! 🥳🎉🎊
To commemorate, I wanted to share something a little different.
Our 30-year-old water heater died this week. So, while we were moving and cleaning old dusty stuff, I found a box of unused ceramic tiles.
I’ve always wanted to play with alcohol inks on tile but never had any tiles, until now!
Ceramic is the perfect base for alcohol inks, and the white background really makes the colors pop! They sealed up nicely with a coat of spray varnish, and I think the small ones will make a cheerful set of coasters!
The larger ones will be sold (hopefully) as artworks on their own.

Thank you Audrey, the damage could have been much worse, luckily our landlord lives next door and was able to get the water turned off quickly, we just had to live without hot water for a few days! I’m super excited about the tiles!!!!
