The Great Getaway

For my husband’s 60th birthday, he wanted a relaxing, low-key weekend. So, we went to Santa Barbara!

We also spent a few days in Los Alamos, just north of Santa Barbara. It’s a classic rural town in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley where you can find great food, art, and some interesting history.

We are very fortunate that my cousin lives there and we can stay with them in their lovely home!

All in all, it was a wonderful week filled with fantastic food, art, sights, wineries, animals, family, new and longtime friends, sharing, comfort, and love!

The farm animals were happy to greet visitors at the Vega Winery in Buellton, CA!

      We didn’t realize it till later that most of the food we had all weekend was vegan, it was so amazing, we didn’t even notice! ☺
