Late August

7″ x 10″ watercolor on paper

I found this watercolor in an old sketchbook and I was struck by the colors. It reminds me of a walk in the forest in the early Fall, my favorite time of year! I can almost smell the drying leaves, hear them crunch under my foot, and see the blue sky peeking through the trees above!

    1. I think that if we had to live with freezing cold and snow during the year I would appreciate the Summer more, but I am not a fan of extreme heat, drought, and wildfires, that is what we get in the Summer πŸ˜”
