June 2022 Favorite Photos

I have been trying to get a good shot of this neighborhood dragonfly for weeks, I finally got this one! 😍

It’s hard to believe that it’s the end of June 2022 already. Time is flying by faster than ever. That is why it’s important to slow down and get out in nature as often as possible, live and enjoy the present. No matter how messed up the world can be, there is beauty and goodness somewhere. I find it in the flowers, the animals, and the sky. I hope you find it too! 🌸☀

One of the many famous sites to visit in San Diego is Cabrillo National Monument. We spent a lovely morning there recently hiking and taking photos, though I didn’t get a good photo of the monument or the national cemetery, or the famous lighthouse on this visit, but I recommend seeing it all if you visit!

We also missed the low tide so we didn’t really get to explore all the mysterious cracks and crevices of the tidepools which is one of my favorite things to do ever! But, there is so much to see just hiking around the park, and the smell of the ocean is therapy in itself.

The rest of these are from around the house and the neighborhood!

California Poppy
Shady Grove ♥

Until next time, be safe, be well, and please be sure to stop and smell the roses!🌹☺

That is a brightly coloured dragonfly! Don’t think we have any like that round these here parts.

I see these red ones every year, but usually, only at this one pond, they love the water!

Lovely selection, the cabrillo national monument looks like a wonderful place to explore and the red dragonfly photo is brilliant. I’ve only seen a red dragonfly once in real life in Japan, I’ve only ever seen blue dragonflies in Scotland.

It is hard to believe that June is gone. We are still here in WA for about another month. Sending big blessings and love to both you and your sweetie. 🦋❤️🤗🙏 Joni

When I looked at your pictures, I thought about how easy it is to get used to what you have around you daily. When a visitor arrives who expresses how nice, exciting or interesting something you have seen a hundred times before, you discover the surroundings again. I came across it when I saw the street picture and the pictures by the sea. Although of course we have city streets with houses and cars, and coast with cliffs here as well, there are still details that are different. One thinks that a rock is a rock, but it is not. The stone has a slightly different structure or color. And a brick building may differ from another in another country, simply because of what the material is made of.

Oh, yes, Bird, it’s the subtle differences, alike, but different, as you said, and it’s so interesting because you are on the other side of the world! 🌏☺
