I’ve been working on this mixed media for several days, adding layer after layer, medium upon medium, until finally, I see/feel balance and unity.
This was one of the first occasions where I used my new gouache paints. I’m still learning how and when to use them, I love how quickly they dry. I also used Brusho crystals, acrylic, mixed media gel pens, and oil pastels.
“Abundant” feels full and alive to me. Abstract, yet floral, in a non-figurative way. A safe place to hide and let your imagination take over, you have permission to escape!
I have a bunch of 16″ x 20″ white matting frames, and I kind of like the way they look just placed on top of the painted canvas, especially when there is white in the painting. I haven’t adhered it to the canvas, I don’t know if that would be wise?
Wishing you all an Abundant amount of creativity, good health, love, and gratitude!πβ€
love it. I’m definitely seeing something floral, but not sure quite what.

Another lovely piece. π I see a strange clown face with funny teeth towards the bottom. But before then. I got some strong Christmas vibes.

I love all the pastels and I see flowers everywhere. You should check out Rattle Tiffany. Every month starting in December they will have a piece of artwork they feature. Then poets write what they see or are inspired to write from the painting. The painter picks a winner and the editor. It would be a great way to get your work seen. They pay to I am pretty sure. Love you Sweetie π€β€οΈ

Hi Tiffany, here is the link: rattle.com/ekphrastic/.
You have to open a submittable account. It it is fun and free. Gabriela is the one who told me about Submittable, and I am so glad she did. I was published in four books because of her recommendation. It gives info and tells you about any kind of contest for writing, photography, art work that can be submitted. This contest pays $100 to the winner. It is a once a month contest for both the artist and the poets. So it would need to be entered in December. Check it out. Good luck with this contest and submittable. Love you sweetie. π€β€οΈπΉπ₯°
You may want to take a look at the challenge for August 2021. There is a artwork piece that was submitted for that month. It may give you an idea of the kind of stuff they are looking for but they actually want you to send stuff youβre not seeing and think they should include. They are very nice to deal with as well. Your artwork would have a great chance. No one can publish a picture of your artwork without your permission. β€οΈπ€πΉπ₯°π

I would start looking at the end of this month. One of your paintings would be great!!! I wrote a piece this week on Astro Jack and it didnβt make it, which they have very talented writers. I wrote a piece called Astro Jack with a lot of rapper talk. It is from the perspective of a young girl who is just looking to have fun. People are being judgmental. This was written about a girl who was looking to have fun. No one went there expecting to die. Things happen that are out of peopleβs control. Do you think this is too controversial to write a poem about? Let me know remember it would be up for a while and I like their paintings. Love you sweetie. β€οΈπ€πΉπ
