Orbs of Reason

16” x 20” Mixed media on canvas

I started this painting in 2020 when we were just introduced to lockdown. It’s taken on many shapes and forms since then, but I finally like where it’s at.

A mixture of acrylic, alcohol ink, gel sticks, and ink, “Orbs of Reason” offers a sense of calm and contemplation. Even though you may not understand the asemic writing, perhaps it’s a place where one might go to find clarity and vision?

If this painting speaks to you, it can be yours! Make me a reasonable offer!😉

I like the desert landscape look and feel. There are lots of orbs in the desert. You can ride through the desert on an orb with no name.

Thanks, Tim! Now, that sounds like a parody in the making, I’m sure you are already working on it!😄

“calm and contemplation” – exactly what I was thinking! It feels like a memory to me, living in the city, finding a space somehow where I could write, where I could see, where I could create ❤️ Lovely, Tiffany!

We are all floating around in these orbs, our auras, I feel, trying to make sense of life and reason with its meaning. Another colorful and soulful expression sister, love it 💜💜💜

Cool mixed media artwork, Tiffany 😎 I can imagine a serene sunset over mountain buttes, with each orb a reflection on thoughts of the day. I also like the abstract writing and color palette 😍

I see this painting in two ways, either several huge mountain formations, a red sun and orbs, a place you can go and just be silent, listen and feel. I also want to stretch my hand out and touch that pointy tip in front of the painting, it looks like made of glass or ice, cold and sharp.

Ahh, you are like me, I always want to touch art! Especially if there is texture on a canvas, it’s all I can do to resist touching it! Thanks, Bird, I always appreciate your comments!

I see so many things in this, as Tim I see the “orbs you can ride through the desert on a horse with no name.” That was pretty funny I bet that made you laugh Tiffany. A great song by America. Your art piece reminds me of the desert but I also see a space shuttle and the message I get is this, “We have all seen some amazing and wildly beautiful things, life will continue on. I love the colors you used as well especially the oranges. Have a great weekend my friend. Love ya xoxoxo Joni

Oh, I just love that message dear Joni, absolutely perfect, and just what we need to hear! I always love hearing what people have to say about my paintings, usually things I never would have thought, but that’s the beauty of art, everyone has their own unique perspective and everything is open to interpretation! I am off to a great start to my weekend and I hope you are too!🙏🥰🤗

Yes I am, thank you. It is always a pleasure to look at your work but I don’t like to do it when I am in a hurry. You have to study art for a bit at least I do.
Well happy weekend my friend and I am sending lots of love to you. 🤗❤️🤗🌹🌹Joni

Oooo…it has so many stories in it!! gorgeous effects, layers of colors! Alcohol inks fascinate me but I’m reluctant to try them (scared of the fumes, etc.). Maybe this winter, when I can open all the windows). You’re inspiring me! 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Oh gosh, I never even think about fumes from my paints, but I should, obviously! The little bottles I use seem so harmless? I guess my space is big enough that I don’t notice any fumes!

Oh – the only reason I know is bec I reacted badly to those water-miscible oils. Got headaches! So now I read about the toxins (esp airborne ones) whenever I use anything. I’m glad you’re OK. Hooray for big spaces! That air circulation matters! 🙃🤗👋
