This 16″ x 20″ Mixed media painting is full of color and curiosity!
I like that it lacks a focal point, but rather encourages your eye to jump around and explore all of the crevices and corners, there are so many nooks to get stuck on and drawn into. Don’t fight it, just stay curious. 😉
I’ve noticed that I’ve been drawn to the brighter shades and hues in my palette lately, surely influenced by all the Spring flowers that are in bloom in our area right now!
Our small neighborhood in San Diego is very close to Balboa Park, which has over 350 species of plants, and over 500 kinds of trees. 🌳🌴 We are so fortunate to live within walking distance of such an amazing place! I drove by the famous Rose Garden today and was shocked to see, (and smell) it in full bloom, over 130 varieties and over 1,600 plants, it’s spectacular all by itself! 🥰🌹
I’ve been working on a new painting that I was hoping to publish on Earth Day, April 22, but I’m not sure it will be done by then. I hope you all find a way to celebrate Earth Day in a pro-active way, plant a tree, pick up litter, donate to a good cause, whatever it is, make it count!😉🌍❤
