
“Pterodactyl” was inspired by a photo taken by friend and multi talented Timothy Price @ Off Center Not Even. It is probably actually some kind of crane or egret or heron(?) he found in his “back yard” in New Mexico, he calls them “paradactyls” they do look very prehistoric!
As soon as I saw the photo I knew I wanted to draw it. It was just the inspiration I needed to keep practicing my sketching skills after revisiting drawing in the last 2020 Inktober event.
