Praise: “the expression of approval or admiration for someone or something.”
I do not paint to obtain the approval or praise of others, and I certainly don’t do it for the money! 😂 I create art because I get this itch, an overwhelming need to get something out. I don’t control it, it cannot be denied. Images of creations are the first thing I think of when I wake, and the last thing floating in my mind before sleep.
Occasionally, I receive comments on my work of disapproval. I have never let those comments bother me, some people will never open their minds to accept abstract art for what it is, I feel sad for them.
Don’t get me wrong, I really appreciate getting likes, comments, and shares from my peers and the people who actually like abstract art, and I suppose I get some validation from that attention. But, deep down, I do it for me, to soothe my soul and calm my anxiety. It’s a release. It’s therapy.
Now that I got that off my shoulders, I do hope you enjoy my painting today, and if not, oh well! 😉
