I have piles of old art show flyers laying around my studio, gosh, I can’t even remember the last time I had public showing, it’s been so long! Hopefully there will be some shows in the near future, I certainly have plenty to show!
“Growing” includes strips of one of those flyers, actually, it was my first public show several years ago that I did with my dear friend Xavier Bailey, an amazing photographer. I have grown and learned so much since that first show! If you look closely, you can see parts of our faces, Lol!
I really like the overall look of the piece, it has an earthy vibe going on, I guess that’s why I called it Growing, I see a flower garden rising up from the earth and into the bright open universe!
