Paisley

11″ x 14″ Acrylic and pen on canvas

Paisley has popped in and out of fashion throughout the centuries. I’ve always been drawn to it. There is something about it that is classic and elegant to me.

This painting isn’t necessarily classic or elegant. It was developed over a long period of time, when I would get stuck on another painting, I just grab this one and tap some dots or make some random asemic marks, it’s a layering process, more like a “doodle”.

I love the final look and feel of the painting. I imagine it resembles something you might see under a magnifying glass, perhaps a blood sample?

The original painting is not for sale, I just wanted to share it with you!

Success! You're on the list.

  1. I like your work very much, it shows, first, that you put a lot of work into it, effort and thought and although you have stated that you are very prolific, you are very conscientious of what you are doing and your work does not look rushed or simple. Love it! Greetings and all the best,

  2. I used to not want pictures like this, that one goes back to over and over, and now, I look forward to always having one (or two) of these I can go to, almost like a meditation for whatever else is going on creatively right then. It does have the feel of being complete – full of intriguing byways and stops leading the eye round a maze of discovery!
