Glimmer

I’ve had a few days off work. Besides catching up on cleaning, playing with the kitties, and working in the garden, I spent a lot of time painting. I meant to reorganize my studio, but I keep getting distracted!

I also did something bold: I gave away a lot of paintings. I took about 50 pieces from storage and put them on the porch with a free art sign. I still have over 3,000 left, but I made some room in my small home. Now, some new neighbors have my artwork in their homes! 😊

Tomorrow is back to work, but I have lots of new paintings to share over the next few days, so I will schedule a few posts. Wishing you all a wonderful June, happy creating!🎨

    Nice painting Tiffany.

    It reminds me of the 4the of July.

    You will eventually get your studio organized so no stress there. Staying focused is key to the distractions I have found.

    Glad to hear you gave some of your painting’s away. Like you I have paintings to give away sitting at the front door.

    A few days ago I got rid of 2 binders full of sketches and one of those canvas portfolio bags with the handle’s full of more art work.

    It’s amazing how much we accumulate over the years as creators.Lol!

      You get it! I don’t want to think about what it would look like if I didn’t switch to sketchbooks!😂 We are enjoying the weather so far, 70 is perfect for me, just wish I wasn’t going back to work tomorrow.

    I LOVE giving away my paintings. Yeah, it’s cool to sell but to know someone enjoys what I did? That’s more than money — and this piece is beautiful.

      Yes! I was thrilled when I got a message from someone I didn’t know that picked up a few free paintings, she sent photos of them in her place, she was so excited, but not as much as me!😊

    Keep the paintings coming. I love to see what you’ve brought into being.

    I’ve been meaning to send an idea since you last mentioned the storage issue you have for all your works. I’m not sure how to simply a drop you a line, so I thought to mention this here – I hope this is okay. I wondered whether there would be businesses and public spaces that would love to have a picture wall of your images loaned to them for a period – dramatically colouring where you live, while also spreading your name. It’s just a thought, but I felt I just send you it.

      Thank you Geoffrey, for your on-going encouragement and support! I have “loaned” my work out for periods of time to local businesses, bars, restaurants and open houses in the past, and I am open to doing it again. Of course it takes time to set up, keep track of and install, deliver and pick up, and I’ve just put my art business on hold for now since I am working full time. There will be time in the future and I will again pursue selling and promoting. For now, I just need to narrow down my favorite pieces and keep them safely stored!😊
