I recently had to decided to put together a “portfolio” of my artwork. Since I have never seen an artists portfolio, and I really have no idea what it should include, I just winged it using Googles Slides app.
When all was said and done, I discovered that it won’t let me just save it as a PDF and email it to the person I wanted to share it with. I can see that I can share it with someone to edit it, but that’s not what I want.
Obviously I am not the most computer savvy person in the world, but I did figure out how to save the individual sheets so I was able to paste them in this post. 😊
I’m still playing and looking for other ways to create a proper easy to share portfolio, for free. If you have any suggestions, please do share!

This is lovely!

I wish I had actionable suggestions for you on free stuff to do to make this happen. Right now you are my guide and leader! 🙂 I love that image of you at the end immersed in your painting. Also, I do offer my best wishes to you! It’s not easy to put ourselves out there. Also I love that you can’t stop and won’t stop!!! muah!

Thank you dear! The can’t stop, won’t stop thing is a blessing and a curse! 😉😂

Yea, I don’t think it’s a problem. But maybe that’s just me. It’s worse if it’s held back as it gets stopped up. lol take it from me. lol 😆 yes there’s always the issue of “where to go with it.” That issue is easier to solve because it should be held inside where it becomes toxic.

What a great looking effort & art! I’ve often wondered myself how to go about this; so hopefully post us follow-ups with links to a thread of this new topic 😊 And yea, your effort shines really well already, Tiffany! 🙏😊❤️

Thank you Adan, I will report back if I ever figure it out! The hardest part of putting this together was choosing just a few paintings!😉

don’t know that software but saving as pdf is def not the way to go. Can you create a gif? They support an imation. Or some kind of video format (mkv, mp4 avi wmf etc.)

Thanks Pete, the only option they give me is to save it as PowerPoint. I just need to start over with a different program, I’m sure there’s something out there, I don’t need fancy!

Yeah you could be right. I loked at Slides, and I see what you saw.
I’ve managed to share a dummy presentation as read-only, so at least nobody can go in and dick around with it. But it always opens up in the Slides environment, where I guess you just want it to “play”. I can’t see how to do that.

Something like

I just threw that together using your images above. I rolled them into an animated gif creator. The tool I used, though, might not be suitable.
Gimme a shout if you want to know how I did it. blog@mrbump.uk

What you’ve put together thus far looks good to me, and is a great start. Unfortunately, I’m not terribly savvy with print or digital media, so don’t have any suggestions as to what else you could do.

Maybe google drive? I’m no expert believe me, but I’ve used it to share images among a group and you can set up things and allow access?

Thanks Claudia, I did use Google Drive to create these as a slide show, but it won’t let me email it as a presentation, that’s where I am stuck!😉

I would recommend you sign up for a few of these masterclasses in marketing your work Tiffany. Your art is good, but some of the text/descriptors sound a little naive to me. You want to sound more professional I think. Anyway, these are a great team of people who do artist marketing workshops. https://www.theartladder.com Good luck with it 🖼️❤️✏️🎨
