Concoction

So far, I’ve only hinted at what I have been working on to help generate some income while I’m in between jobs. I’ve been painting, not so much on canvas, but I’ve been renovating a studio on our property to turn into an Airbnb.

I did a lot of house painting in my 20’s and I have to admit that it’s not as easy in my 50’s! The studio is actually a one-car garage attached to our house that was converted years ago into a studio, it just hasn’t been fixed up in a long time and needs a lot of work.

I’ve been doing a lot of cleaning, drywall repairs, patching, sanding, and painting, my husband has been trying to help, but his broken hand limits him. We’ve also finally gotten some rain, so that has delayed things.

If you want to visit San Diego and are looking for an affordable place to stay, please keep me in mind. It’s a totally private space with a bathroom, shower, a mini kitchen and even a private patio! The best part is that we are within 10 minutes of downtown, Petco Park, the convention center, San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Coronado, hundreds of fabulous restaurants, oh, and Mexico is just down the road!!

I hope to have everything ready to go by the end of March, I promise to share photos/links once I get it all done. I’m looking forward to fixing it up with some artwork and fun, cozy aesthetics! ⚒ 🖌💪🏡

      1. That’s great! And I came back to say sorry for not finishing my comment – got side-tracked 🤪 – anyway, I reallyreallyreally like the piece you’ve posted! Wanted to tell you that it made me think of “The Birth of Venus” shell (Botticelli) but one created for this world we’re living in, with vibrant colors & bursting with energy. Wonderful! 🥰
