I’m not sure how it is possible that July came and went already? Summertime finally arrived in San Diego. Each year seems to bring more humidity than the year before, this one is no exception. We’ve had some cool-looking clouds though.

Most of my July (and May, and June) was spent at the dentist’s office. It turns out the root canal that I went through didn’t fix the problem The tooth is actually fractured, so after all I’ve been through, the tooth has to be removed. The extraction is scheduled for this Thursday. 😔
On a more positive note, our garden is thriving this year! We have lots of tomatoes, figs, jalapeños, herbs, and onions!

The following photos are some fun macro shots of random items I found in the yard, rust and corrosion always seem to catch my eye!

My husband is really good at bringing home flowers so I always have something pretty to take photos of! 🥰📷🌸

We also took part in the annual Summer Washoo tournament, it’s a lawn game my husband and his friends have played for about 30 years and they take it seriously! Neither of us won this year, but I did beat my husband in the semi-finals, so that was cool!

I hope you are staying cool, creative, and in good health and spirits! 😊🎨🥰
I hope that tooth issue is totally behind you. Washoo, huh? I”ve never heard of it before now, but it sounds like a blast. Thanks for sharing!

Yep, a special game invented by our friend, he tried getting it pattened but, obstacles. Super fun, if you can keep up with the scoring! 😉

July has really slipped by. Oh man or woman. Sorry to hear about your tooth. That really bites! You would think the dentist would notice it was fractured before rooting it. Or maybe the root canal fractured your tooth. Are you going to need an implant or is far enough back that it doesn’t matter? Beautiful photos and congrats on beating your hubby in the tournament.

Thanks, Tim! Yes, the highlight of the month was beating Mark in the Washoo finals, the rest of the month can kiss my ass! 😂 Not sure about any of the tooth issues, the professionals aren’t either, that is what kills me. Yes, an implant will be required for #3.🤑

Teeth stuff really sucks. Dental work takes a bite out of your wallet, too. Laurie is working on her second of three implants. Only $4K an implant.

July was a total bust here in NY, hotter and more humid that I can remember so I’m not sorry to see it go. Now it’s August and it feels like late May. Absolutely glorious weather but it’s a bit mixed up.
Gorgeous flowers, Tiffany!

That’s awful you’ve had such problems with your tooth. I’ve had many issues with crowns over the past 6-7 years, so I empathize. July was literal hell here in the Coachella Valley, with 18 days of 115-120 degree highs! People are crazy to move here now.

I’m afraid Summer as we knew it is gone, Kirt! Let’s just try to get used to humidity and high temps, we don’t really have a choice!

Sorry to hear about your dental problems, Tiffany. I know what you’re going through. I had three fractured teeth a couple of years ago and am still getting treatment for them now. It’s due for completion next January. It’s great getting old, isnt it?

Ugh, I hear you, can’t imagine this times three, so sorry. I had the extraction yesterday, hell today, and it will take a long time before can afford implants.💵 I foresee a lot of mashed potatoes in my future! 😔

Well, you find a way. I chewed on my front teeth for quite a while. It can only get better.

Yes, I too only have the front ones, I’m trying to adjust. The way I usually say it is, “it could always be worse”!😉

Love the clouds. You should join a cloud-appreciation society. I have a friend who has a bumper sticker for one she joined.

Ha! Who knew such a society existed, how fun! I have had my head in the clouds my whole life, fascinating what you can see up there! ☺
