This mixed-media painting is a celebration of life and the power of life. It is a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope for a new beginning. Maybe inspired by some friends that are expecting and the fact that I have started some seeds for our small garden!
I used a variety of tools to create this mixed media painting, starting with a credit card and some acrylic paint, a palette knife, watercolor brushes, oil pens, and my fingers. May the spirit of Spring inspire you to create a new beginning! π±π¨

You might want to put a cold steak on that eye, Tim, sorry about that! π

Really like the contrast between the black and vibrant color and learning about the inspiration behind the art. π

Thank you! It’s difficult to describe my inspirations since I paint intuitively, it’s a combination of the various things going on in my life, never with intention, but an accumulation of everything!

You are welcome. The creative process is often a mystical and magical experience. β¨ I would add that you do paint with intention… to beautifully express all that flows through you. π As for my question… just wondering if the “mirrored sides” on your canvas prints are actual mirrors or if that just means “mirrored” fabric? Thank you!

A joyous riot of complementaries, Tiffany. I think the black really pitches those colours forward.

Thank you for this, Tiffany. I think of Spring as being the time of strongest colours, before the Summer burns them out. Thanks you for this. Spring is my favourite time of year with everything coming alive.
