Fragile

11″ x 14″ Mixed media on canvas

I had fun putting this piece together! I knew I wanted to create something with a lot of texture, so I pulled out some cheesecloth and Mod Podge and started laying down some layers.

Next, I splashed some alcohol inks around, threw down some Brusho crystals, splattered some acrylics, and then I pressed on some bubble wrap dipped in acrylic, laid different colored thread randomly about, and not wasting anything, I glued some of the bubble wrap into the canvas, why not!?

I can’t not mention the heart in the center. Outlined in jute, strong but not invincible, padded with the surrounding bubble wrap. Our actual hearts deserve some love! They work hard for us. They might be working overtime, and they are often stressed. Please take the time to take care of your heart, schedule that appointment, take more long walks, eat a healthy diet and take your medication on a regular basis, your heart will thank you!โค๏ธ๐Ÿซ€๐Ÿ™

In its infancy!

Have a great weekend my friends, take care of yourselves and each other! ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŽจโ˜บ๏ธ
