Heart of Purple

This painting, “Purple Heart” is growing on me. It is calming, yet, I sense turmoil underneath. Like most things in life, there is always more than meets the eye.

This mixed media 16″ x 20″ painting started by applying some gesso to the canvas, then I threw down some Brusho crystals, acrylic paint, and finally, I added alcohol inks. I used my hands, brushes, a credit card, and a wide-toothed comb to create the textures. I’ll share a video so you can see all the textures!

I hope your December is off to a great start, stay creative my friends!๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

      1. You are a hard worker Tiffany. I applaud you working at two jobs even if one is something you love. It still takes a lot of energy. Your hard work is certainly paying off. I am happy for you. Sending big hugs. Love โค๏ธ Joni

  1. It has the look of of a palimpsest, with the ghost of the previous painting poking through – or is that just the gesso? I also like the frame you created, particularly as it echoes some of the lines deeper in the piece.
