Feathered Friends

I’m getting into bird watching as I get older. We have multiple hummingbird feeders around the house, as well as dry bird seed for the finches, doves, and various birds, of course we deal with squirels as well. I think connection with nature is important, it keeps us real!

On a completely different topic, I finally created a Twitter account for my “professional brand” @tiffanyarpdaleo. For the last 13 years, I have operated my personal account @taaduh, but never bothered to create a Twitter account for my professional site, until today!

If you like to tweet, please follow me on Twitter at @tiffanyarpdaleo and of course, I will follow you back! πŸ™πŸ€—πŸ˜

    1. I often do collages that include images from other sources, magazine clippings, photos, torn-up paintings, fabric, leaves, stamps, basically, anything! The bird in this piece was cut out from a magazine, the colors matched perfectly with the background I had already painted. But. yes, this is very figurative for me! πŸ˜‰

    1. Haha! Yep, Gia, I’m afraid this is how we start becoming our parents, or, I hate to say it, OLD! First, it’s bird watching, next it will be playing bridge, who knows, maybe bingo will be the highlight of our week! 🐦🀣

    1. Thank you, Phil! When I saw the image of the bird in a magazine, I cut it out because I liked the colors. Later, I realized I had painted the background a day or so earlier that matched perfectly, the black ink scribbles just tie it all together!

      1. Yes indeed it is. I wish we had owls that stayed like Tim. We have lots of Blue Jays and hummingbirds. I love the Wrens they come back every year. What we do have is a family of twelve deer that live in the back yard in the woods. They have two new fawns this year. They are so sweet they come right up to the screen porch. Hope you are doing well sweetie. You are getting more exposure which is wonderful. Sending you lots of love Tiffany. πŸ€—β€οΈπŸ’•πŸŒΊπŸŒΉπŸ’πŸŒΈπŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‰

          1. They are so beautiful. Today we had two little Bambi’s but only for the second time did we have a buck. That was interesting. Soon there will be no place for animals here. We decided to wait until after the holidays to look for houses as the prices in the mountains are coming way down. Sending you love. β€οΈπŸ€—β€οΈ

  1. Oh yeah! Now I can retweet ur tweets! 😊 And your little bird feels quite at home in its personalized space you’ve created for it ❀️ Having little critters and creatures about is – usually 😊 – quite a wonderful thing!

  2. Birdies! Endlessly interesting! Two 😻😻 here, so I watch them watch the birds. This morning was all about bluejays – big, loud, beautiful; lots of activity bec the jays know that girls (the cats) can’t get to them thru the window so they land on the ledge underneath & yell at the cats (lots of wing-flapping). The girls glare back from their “cat trees,” slashing their tails thru the air. I β™₯️ the image you made! The black line makes me think of bird flight…such a fun piece!! Oh! Do you get many hummingbirds? πŸ€—πŸ‘‹

    1. You totally get what I’m saying! πŸ˜‚ Yep, my kitty is old enough to not bother them anymore, so they co-exist, it’s pretty cool! We get lots of hummingbirds, but there is one in particular that has been around for over 2 years now that dominates one feeder, he is a bully! We set up another feeder in the back of the house for all the others!πŸ˜‚
