I hated this painting. There was nothing about it I liked. After layers and layers, and then some more, I can finally appreciate it for what it is, “Off Center”.
Lots of things in life are like this. Imperfect, a little off, but that doesn’t mean you can’t like it. In fact, I think some of the most beautiful things in the world are a bit off center, and there’s even some cool blogs, like this one, Off Center and not Even.
I hope you are happy, safe and staying creative, keep your smile on! 🙂

I really like this one and looked at it longer than I did any of your others. Maybe because I’m also a little off. 👨🦲

Hmm.. this has made me think about what is “good” and what is not. The reaction to a painting is really individual. So everyone’s reaction is right. The funny thing is I like bits of this picture but maybe not a fan of the whole. What is your reaction if you cover up parts of it? Does it change?

Ooh, I like the way you approach this one! Indeed, there are parts that I still don’t like, and some that I do. But, I think it needs to be all or nothing!

EEEeee and Not Even! Thanks for the mention. The painting has a strange unevenness in its off-centeredness that draws your attention and pulls you in. Then there is a lot to discover once you’re pulled into the painting. It works well being Off Center.

Right!? It’s a weird one, lots going on and definitely off-center, but I think it works!

Oh, that is awesome, Kavitha! Yes, it is an interesting color combination, a little off, and perfectly acceptable!
