I am thrilled with the final outcome of this painting! It took me a while to finish, but when I finally got to this point my husband said this is “quintessentially you”!
It began with a can of black spray paint, some acrylic, then a little pouring medium, some alcohol inks, and then finally some metallic gold acrylic to finished it off. It’s the largest piece I have done in a long time, it was nice to have some space to play with for a change!
The name “On the Chopping Block” popped into my head most likely due to current events, it seems like everyone is in fear of losing their jobs, and programs and events are being cancelled left and right. I’m trying to stay optimistic and hopeful for the new future, whatever and whenever that may be.
Stay strong my friends!
This is very good Tiffany, I don’t see it as pessimistic at all. Reminds me of The Starry Night (2020). 👂

Fabulous abstract artwork, Tiffany ~ there’s so much to see, and the black background really works well 🙂

Magical mechanisms of color – “quintessentially you” as your husband says 😊 24×30’s a good size piece. Definitely hopeful ❤️

Thank you, Adan! I really feel a kinship to this painting, and I may have a potential buyer, it will be a tough one to let go, but I will make the sacrifice! LOL!

Oh, there are some sale-sacrifices that hurt so good! I wish you all the agony of the sale, lol! And so neat it’s one of your rare larger works too! ❤️

Very imaginative! And it is definitely a “sign of the times”.
