Blinded By The Light

There is a lot of texture in this painting, but it’s hard to see in the photograph. It’s also rather chaotic. I guess that is why it makes me think of the old song “Blinded by the Light” by Manfred Mann’s Earth Band, you know it, the one with the lyrics that make no sense, but you still can’t help but crank it loud and pretend to singalong.

I found the You Tube video below that shows the lyrics, what the heck does it mean?? I don’t think it matters, a lot like my paintings, it doesn’t have to makes sense, all that matters is that you like it!

  3. The original lyrics by Springsteen are “Cut loose like a deuce. Another runner in the night.” which makes more sense as deuces are wild. I like the painting.

  5. Sometimes making sense of an art experience is part of what makes it special ❤️ I like it, lol! It reminds me of being on the freeway in Austin, but esp Houston, and it’s all moving and twirling and going, but it’s also working smoothly! Structured chaos 😊
