Sound of Music II

The two above watercolor abstract paintings were created in just minutes, while listening to a jazz compilation, lost in the sounds of music. These will be featured in an upcoming group art show in March, details coming soon!

If you have noticed I haven’t been very active in the community lately, I’ve been busy working on some commission work, and grudgingly looking for a “real” job. Ugh.

It’s a reality, I can’t quite make enough money to live on as a full time artist. But, I am incredibly grateful for the six months that I had to focus on my art business full time. I have learned a lot, about art, business, and myself. Most important, I had time to connect with other artists and creatives, these relationships inspire me everyday!

I’m not saying I’m leaving or anything, but once I land that perfect dream job, I won’t have as much time for posting, reading and commenting, it is so time consuming, as you know. That’s why I really appreciate all of you who regularly like and comment on my posts, it warms my heart and gives me encouragement everyday, thank you!

  1. Great work Tiffany! I can feel the flow of the Jazz that you were listening and I can see their pattern in your work. Good luck with the show!

  2. You’ve done so much in the stretch of time you’ve had, Tiffany, and I know this will eventually once again be your focus. So what you can as you can and enjoy, and you obviously did with these two fun pieces! Hope your show does great, and we hear from you when we hear from you 😊

    1. Thanks, Adan! Well, if I can pull it off, I am hoping to find a part-time job that pays well enough so I can split my time, that is the ideal situation! Fingers crossed, I’ve got a least one potential opportunity in the works, fingers crossed!

  3. I wish I had more time to write. I have three books to finish and no time. I must work and I work the night shift. I hope you keep creating. I try to make time daily to write, read and learn. Maybe some day?

    1. Thank you so much, Wendy! I’m still looking for work, and always manifesting a job within the arts! I had a teaching gig lined up just before the shutdown, hoping I can reschedule it in the near future!
