This is not one of my favorite paintings. But, this is what happened and I like to think there is a reason it was created, perhaps for someone specific? It really doesn’t mean anything to me, but I knew exactly when to stop and call it done.
All of my art creations happen that way. I never have a vision before starting a painting, it is always a complete surprise to me. In fact, since most of my painting is done late at night, the first thing I do in the morning is go to the studio to see what I did the night before, its often a shock to me!
So, if this painting was made for YOU, please send me a message, I’d love to know what it means!

It’s a really good painting. I understand favorites and not so favorites. I’m always surprised by many of my photos that I think are so so, many people will love; and many of the photos I really love, other people will have little to say about them. My tastes are often at odds with the majority.

Thank you, Adan! It really is somewhat of a spiritual process, like nothing else I have ever experienced, lots of love and trust!

I’ve always felt the arts opened doors for me I didn’t have or see until engaged in them, dance, music, writing, creating pictures, even some of my blog posts, lol!

I see a crab cage in the ocean. I like the colors.

Thank you, Erika! Yep, I see lots of sea creatures in my art, and a lot of water, which kind of makes sense!

For me, it’s sometimes difficult to stop designing once I’ve started, and I think that your artwork turned out very nicely, Tiffany 🙂

Hi Phil, I totally know what you mean, I have over-done-it too many times! There really is a knack for knowing when to stop!

The woman in red (you can see her red face and red hair with one eye closed in the smallest box) closes her eyes and these are the images drifting in and out of her mind. Maybe these things tell more about the viewer than the creator 🙂 I know what you mean about being shocked. Sometimes I am quite scared of the images that flow from my hands. Must be therapeutic letting those images out. Phew!
