Abba Zaba

9″ x 12″ Mixed media collage on paper

I know, this is weirdly different from my usual collages, very simple, or is it?

I fell in love with this animal print/dots design that I stumbled upon in a magazine. It was intuition that guided me to cut swirls and rearrange them onto the watercolor paper.

My husband insisted that I name it Abba Zaba, because it kinda looks like the wrapper from the old Abba Zabba candy, remember them? The white taffy with peanut butter inside, I loved those! It looks like you can still get them on Amazon!

You can also order prints in various sizes and formats at my Fine Art America site here!

I hope you are having a lovely weekend, stay creative my friends! 🎨🌞✌😄

      1. It really does my friend. Have you ever seen the beads that are made out of bright magazine cuttings? When I was in the 11th grade this very tall redhead was a good friend of mine. She was a talented guitar player. Anyway she made the coolest bracelets I think I have ever seen. I make jewelry and I don’t know how she did it. They were these perfectly round bright colored bracelets made with fabric. They were also stuffed perfectly. I think you could rock those bracelets. They were firm too. She had your gorgeous hair and your “Irish Spring Skin”- like in the commercials. I wish I knew how she did it. You remind me of her. 💕🤗❤️😘💝🌷🌹

          1. Hi my friend, the beads are made out of magazines and the perfectly round bracelets were made of fabric. You could easily do the magazine beads. We went on a mission trip in Haiti were we taught a lot of wonderful people how to make jewelry with the beads. There are videos on how to do it. They are fun to make. I hope you have something really amazing to do on the 4th. We always stay home with our dog because she is so afraid of fire works. Sending you lots of love and blessings your way. ❤️🤗😘💝🌹🌸🌺💕

            1. Oh yes, I know what you mean about staying home with your dog on the fourth, I hate the fireworks for that reason! Most dogs just can’t handle it. I’m glad to hear you will be staying home to comfort yours! 🐶🥰💕

              1. Yes, we can’t stand them. In fact before we lost our one dog about six months ago ( we still have a little dog, Esther, she is my baby,) my husband would have to sleep in the closet with their thunder shirts on most of the night with the dogs. I get so irritated and I wish people would clean up the mess they make too. Sending you giant hugs Tiffany. ❤️🤗🤗

  1. I needed to see this again tonight 💛😍 it’s electrical zebra vibe 8s pure magic. I can hear it whispering of the miracles we will receive when we choose to dance with love. The top pieces are the steps, it’s footprints to a wonderland ✨

  2. My first thought, before I even got to the parrern, was Tour de France. They had a logo about 10 years back, very primary, which was that yellow, plus black and white. It was either a sun or a sunflower, but the kind of thing a kiddie might paint.
Tour de France started on Saturday, apparently.

    1. I had to look it up, you are right, the colors and simple design of the logo are somewhat similar! I used to always watch the Tour De France as a kid, but it’s been years! Thanks for visiting and taking the time to comment!
