“Alchemy is defined as the process of taking something ordinary and turning it into something extraordinary, sometimes in a way that cannot be explained. An example of using alchemy is a person who takes a pile of scrap metal and turns it into beautiful art.”
If you haven’t read “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho, I highly recommend it. 😉
I like to think that I am doing some kind of “alchemy” with my artwork. Although I might not always be working with metals, art is something I have practiced and honed for most of my life. I’ve listened, and studied. I do my best to be true and always respect nature, and it’s gifts.
Painting with a knife leaves the most glorious texture. You can make it as thick as you want, and blending colors with a knife is kind of addicting! I took an oil painting class with William F. Powell back in the 90’s. He taught me how to use a knife, I was hooked immediately. I still have and use the same knife that I bought for that class 30 years ago! 😉
The original painting “Orange Alchemy” is available for purchase for only $325 gold coins, just drop me an email to arrange details and delivery! 🙏😊
