Yay! It looks like this post is a milestone for my blog, #200!!!
I took about 200 photographs of this painting and I still haven’t captured the depth, the texture or the richness of the colors. I give up. Until I get that iPhone upgrade, this is what you get.
Since new art supplies are on hold until I secure supplemental income, I have been working on/over older paintings that I never really loved or always meant to finish. This was once a painting I called Sunshine Daydream, it was cute and sunshiny, but to me, it lacked substance.
After several layers and multiple mediums, some final swipes of watered-down drippy violet tempera and I finally love it! Now there is so much more to observe, I love the way the bright colors peek through the violet, it’s dreamy and soothing, yet vibrant and alive!

It’s colorful and creative!

It makes me think of the “Purple People Eater”. Do you know the song? https://youtu.be/X9H_cI_WCnE

I really like those greens and purples. Seems like your old camera worked well enough.

Isn’t it wonderful when an old mentally forgotten piece one didn’t like anyway finally’s turned around to something you like! Doesn’t happen often to me either, but I know the feeling! This has the feel of woven fabric, like from Peru or such to me! And big congrats on post # #200; I bet that feels good! 😊
